Default Sweet Kit

Check out this nice Ram Air kit on the Red Challanger. Real Nice set up. I only wish they made one for us Ram guys with Sport Hoods. I would be all over it.

Redram,

I Agree. I just went to Cervini's website and joined their Fourm. They actually have a Ram section. I posted the question if an upcomming kit is in the works? I would sure like to see if anybody else who is intrested post up on their website also.

Wow that's not even that expensive! I saw one of these in person at a car show it was really nice. Not sure if same brand but looked identical.

Wow, I'd be interested in seeing their "proven" results in the 1/4 mile.

Don't be skeptical, that looks like a really slick setup, and ram air makes a huge difference at speed. My friend's camaro, we did a homemade ram air out of rivetted sheet metal that fed air to the k&n setup, and he dropped a couple tenths off his 1/4 mile time with just the ram air. Before the ram air the car really lost power at about 110-120mph, after the ram air it pulled strong up to about 140mph (I know we are stupid we did over 160mph). It got to 140 surprisingly fast with that intake.

I guess I'd have to look at the underside of a Challenger hood to see how the framing looks. With the Ram sport hood it just doesn't seem like you would be able to get good streamlined air flow.

Well I'd agree since the air is doing a 180 it won't be as good as a traditional style ram air, but still be very helpful...

Its not just the 180, it's how the hood is designed. There are hood supports directly under the faux vents. I think if one were going to spend over $300 for a ram air kit + the cost of the CAI, you're almost better off spending the extra money and get a hood designed for ram air with the CAI. I mean if you're doing it for the power, why go cheap and less effective?
