Default missing badging

So I picked up my 11 CC sport yesterday and the RAM 1500 badging from the drivers door was never put on. It's there on the PS. I had to take the truck back today and have the right rear tire swapped out because there was a screw in it when i bought it and i noticed all the others had badging on both doors. Guess that's why I got that 3510 dealer discount lol.

Guess that expedites the debadging process.

I've seen some good write ups but I'm leary of doing this myself. I'm like a caveman when it comes to being careful.

There are plenty of posts on how to do it. Did you ask the dealer to fix it?

Mine only had blackout trim tape on the passenger side doors. I had the truck for a week before I realized it since I only ever saw the driver's side. Dealer removed the tape on the passenger side for me. They actually wanted to put some on the drivers side for the fix and I told them "uh, no you won't."

You should have them give them to you anyway. Just dont put them on. Just in case you change your mind down the road or sell the truck.

I've gotta go back next week so they can install the receiver. I may discuss my options with them a little more sternly.

I would definitely demand they give them to you at least. If not ask for free oil changes or something. Just because you were thinking about removing them doesn't mean you should get shorted. Don't let them know that you don't really care, act like it pisses you off. Make THEM compensate you.

That's my thought. Even though it was nice of them to get the job started for ya, might be a good idea to at least have them.

I was too (the frist time), but it's not that bad to do. After you get part way through the process (the first time), you will likely think "What did I get myself into!". This is a normal reaction, as it does take a little time and perseverance. There a lot of great debadging tips on the Z, so arm yourself with the fishline/floss and some 3M adhesive remover and/or eraser wheel, and enjoy the final outcome....it's worth it!

Remember, if you make swirl marks, there's a polish for that. If you try to debadge with a front end loader, there's a body shop for that!
