Default a/c at idle?

my 01 1500's a/c blows fine as long as your moving, but at a red light or drivethru, the ac stops blowing cool and turns to warm-cool... also, the fan isnt blowing quite as fast as it used to be, when i bought it the blower was blowing so hard you had to raise your voice to talk to your passengers, not you barely hear it and it's hardly blowing out of the vents. one other problem is that this truck recently developed a problem with getting too warm at idle... if i have to set in line too long at idle the temp creeps up to around 210deg. once i start moving it cools back down quickly. when i bought the truck the vacuum lines by the condenser that controls the vacuum into the cab were broke... once i reconnected them the selector knob on the dash is backwards... defrost is actually max a/c, max a/c is defrost, and any other setting just closes all the doors so that very little air comes out of the vents. what is going on here? are there common issues?

Check your fan clutch. Engine off (posted for liability sake ) grab the fan and see if it wobbles any, if it does...your fan clutch is bad.

If it is, its not cooling it sufficiently at idle and not pulling enough air across the a/c condenser to make it operate correctly.

If that is indeed the problem, make sure you get a fan clutch from Dodge. If you get a parts store clutch, it'll spin all the time and kill your power/mileage and make your truck sound like a prop plane.

As far as the blower motor/ could either be the relay for the switch or the blower motor itself. I believe they're pretty cheap and not too bad to replace.
