Default 2 questions

So, how many of you run a different weight motor oil than the Dodge suggested 5W-20? And what do you run?

Also, on my Laramie, I just noticed that the factory chrome wheels seem to actually be covers/caps. Has anyone ever had to replace these and about how much are they each?

I run factory recommended oil. Best for the MDS. And the wheels are Chrome Clad meaning they are plastic caps bonded to the wheel. If theybget damaged you're looking at a wheel. Might be cheaper to get a set of aftermarket wheels over replacing a couple of chrome clad versions.

the 5W-20 or 0W-20 makes the Multi Displacement System function properly
i personally have switched over to Mobile 1 synthetic & a WIX, NAPA, Carquest or equal oil filter & a K&N drop in air filter

as was mentioned the plastic chrome cladding is permanently bonded to the metal rims

as always, thanks guys....
I will stay with the suggested 5W-20 and go to a synthetic blend.

Chrome Clad? Interesting....
