Oxygen acytlene torch, where the threads are engaged with each other, and a good impact (think I.R.) wirewheel the bolts once theyre off, and use anti seize when you put em back on, and clean up the center hole of the wheel, particularly if it's an alloy, other wise it may come loose after about 50 miles, corrosion prevents the center of the wheel to bottom out on the hub, this corrosion also causes a lot of bent rotors after you get the brakes good and hot, this is all rust belt stuff , It is pretty much bible science up here. If you do the front shocks, a torch is also mandatory equipment up here, for the lower nuts, if you want to save the grief of replacing the studs with bolts. I really think MI DOT is in cahoots with the salt mines, Its pitiful how the govt destroys our vehicles up here in the protection of people who won't slow down on ice, now the latest trick is to really lay the stuff down, and NOT plow, cuz of labor and diesel prices, That salty slush is by far the worst thing to drive on... I digress...
