Anyone end up using 2 x 1/4" spacers instead of 1/2" spacers?

I just put my Goodyear Eagle GT-2 305/50/20's on SRT-10 replicas and they are rubbing on the upper control arm of my 2010.

I put 1/4" spacers on but still get rub.

Wondering what would happen if I doubled up on the 1/4" spacers?

i start this post by saying that i don't know anything about spacers

it seems that the slip on spacers are not the way to go, & many people consider them unsafe
the spacers that bolt directly to the hub & have their own studs for the rims are considered safer

I purchased some qulaity exact fit - 1/2 inchspacers for about $120 for a set of 4. My hope is that I will get at least 6 full turns with them on the chrome clads. I would not advise stacking those cheap 1/4 inch spacers that fit loose on the hub.

My goal is to get 325/50/20 Mickey ATZ radial (not claws like below) and the 1/2 in custom wheel spacers on my 2010 4x2 for a look like this (below is a 3rd gen 4x4 stock height with a 1/2 inch spacers and 325/50/20 Mickey ATZ claws on stock 20x9 all around)

Unknowns for me:
- how many turns will get with a 1/2 in wheel spacer on my 2010 w/ stock chorme clads. Hoping for 6. This guy says he only got 4 turns, others have told me they got 7 and even 8 on 4th gen stocks. By my calculations, I'm getting like 13.5 turns on stock now and have about 1-1/8 of thread visible. If I cut that in half I should get at least 6 (I hope). Tire shops say you need 5 to be safe. I used spacers and adapters many times on different trucks with no issue. But do your own research and come to your own conclusions based on truck weight, load and application!
- Since nobody that I know of has tried 325/50/20 on 20x9 ~ +8mm offset on 4th gen 4x2 stock I'm not sure what to expect. It's a monetary risk and since I've been asking for 3 months now, I suspect I will be the very first to do it in any of the forums.

bump. Anybody? Been a while and I'm sure somebody has tried it.

I'd like to try to fit some 325/50/20 on my stock 20x9 4x2 2010 using 1/2 spacers.

Will they rub? How many turns can I expect?

I've heard I might get 8 turns and that 5 turns is safe.

By chance anybody got an old 325/50/20 they want to sell me for a test fit? I'm in 33174.
