I would like to try and replace all/most of the components that make up the front suspension. I have an 02 Ram 1500 V8 4.7 ltr Quad Cab with 123000 miles. Any help would be appreciated (tips, tricks, type/brand parts, etc.). Thanks!
Right now, the only major issue is the ball joints. They are shot and need to get fixed. Also, every time I hit a bump or a dip, the truck "groans" and the front end squeaks. I was figuring that if I had to do the ball joints I might as well replace the whole front end. The person who owned the truck before me didn't maintain it too well and it needs a lot of work. Just got to do it one job at a time.
The groan is probably your struts, it seems to be a common problem, and i wouldn't replace them with the crappy monroe ones either, i used the Rancho 9000ES, and i've seen some people use the adjustable billsteins. I've just about replaced every part in the front end, and it will take you a good day to do it
