Default Need IMMEDIATE help - purchase later TODAY!

Need some help from the DODGE TOWING TRAVEL TRAILERS FOLKS. I am looking at a 2012 Rockwood Windjammer 3065W and need to know if I can tow it with my 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad CAB. I'm thinking that the GCWR on the Ram is 14,000 lbs. The Gross Trailer weight is being discussed but Forest River says 7953 and Rockwood says more like 7504 and the dealer says 8063. My quess is it's probably somwhere in between. The Dodge Ram 1500 is a 4 X 2 ST Quad Cab. The Axle Ratio is 3.92. It has a 5.7L V8 Hemi. I LOVE the Travel Trailer and I quickley need to know if I can SAFELY, REALISTICLY pull the trailer with the 2009 that I have. If the 2009 can't pull it, an option is too have it delivered to the campgroound I spend most of my time (when not traveling in) and wait until the year end sales and buy a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500. Any help with professional or experienced in towing knowledge of the 2009 towing issue would be AWESOME and so much appreciated.

i will try finding the website that goes into details about towing with different year vehicles, tire sizes, etc

Make sure that you get a CLASS 4 hitch receiver

I'm not pulling that much weight with mine but looking at those numbers your truck can pull it and you still have a nice buffer for gear etc. The most weight I've pulled with my Ram Crew is around 6k and once up to speed she pulls like a champ and still has horsepower to spare. Very impressed with how the Ram pulls a load! Double check your ratings on the sticker in the door of your Ram to 100% sure but I can't see any issues with your Ram pulling that trailer....nice trailer by the way!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I feel so much better now. I just knew that I was not going to be able to tow the Windjammer and have to go to the second option. This is SO MUCH easier.

BY the way, Yes it is a FINE UNIT and only my second. The first was a Rockwood Ultra-Lite 2608S and I had problems with it the first time I took it out and every time after. IT was a LEMON and no Travel Trailer lemon laws in Alabama. I'm praying that this one will be much better!!!

Seeing that trailer with water and contents would probably run about 7500lbs I would definitely look in to getting a 2500 in the future if you plan on towing this a lot.
