I hope so..im stuck because of the custom tuning.. but, I hear sc's racing division is 'thinkin' about makin a custom tuneable programmer (they've said that before).. I'd be all over that..

Thanks Chef, I don't plan on doing any custom tuning. If anything, I'll run the built in 'performance tune' for 93 octane.

My main goal was to get rid of the MDS and take advantage of aftermarket exhaust and CAI.

Don't need the tuner to get rid of the MDS on the '09+. Just blip the shifter into ERS 5 mode. You'll get all 5 gears and it never drops into ECO mode.

That's not a reasonable method to bypass the MDS. By blip'n the ERS into 5 mode you effectively disable the 'overdrive'.

I had to try it just to make sure...I disabled MDS with the programmer, then cruised on the freeway at about 60-65 mph, there is about a 500 rpm difference at 60-65 mph when you blip into the ERS 5 mode (vs non ERS 5 mode).

This most certainly will effect your mileage, especially at higher speeds/rpms.

Hmmm....I'll have to try that too. Never played with it on the freeway but I don't know why it would lock out the second overdrive. Possibly just pulls it out of lockup temporarily?

Typically when I'm using ERS I'm locking it to 4 (first OD only) for under 50 driving around town.

I'm a little concerned, I have a cam, headers, Air Ram and Borla duals and am running a CMR tune from KRC. My truck has 135,000 miles, a lot of them heavy trailer towing and spraying a 100 shot thru the shifts. I'm really happy with the way it shifts. When ever I have dropped the pan and change the filter, every 50,000 miles, the fluid looks clean, nothing in the pan. Should I do something different? In any event, the Predator let me run a cam and mods with drivability like stock. If your staying stock, the Superchips is a good tuner, but with my mods, I would have blown my motor by now without the Diablo Predator.

Default Predator

I just ordered my predator and it should be here wed. Hopefully i don't run into any transmission issues like you guys said you have had. I don't have many mods just CAI and exhaust but i would like to disable the MDS and just use the 87 octane with CAI. I'll let you guys know how i like it.
