Default Which is louder?

I was always curious as to which is louder. the 14" weld in magnaflow muffler or the full magnaflow catback system? I assume the 14" magnaflow since the catback uses a 22" muffler on it but it also gets rid of the resonators, not sure if thats enough to make it louder.

I could be wrong, but that was one thing that kind of swayed me over to just doing a muffler swap instead of the catback system. Wanted more noise

I got turned away from just the muffler itself. Those tiny stock (caliber) dual tips just looks ridiculous on a mean truck like this.

The full catback isn't a real noise maker but it sounds like a boss. Ill never go back to just welding in a muffler. The tips really sold it for me and Im super impressed with the sound and quality overall!

Well you can buy tips if thats the issue, but i dont see the point in spending $600 for a catback if its not much louder then stock

You can find the catback for 500$ if your good, and the tips your looking at 80+ each for some decent quality. Then you include the muffler, then you include extra tubing plus install (if you dont weld it in yourself). Your looking close to the same amount.

An hour or two of your own time with the catback in your driveway and your set.

For me it wasn't for the noise, its about making her sound like a beast. And this catback did it for me. Ricer sound isn't for me, especially in a full size truck

Everyone has their own personal opinions though, a lot of guys do just stick with a quick muffler swap and they do sound good.

The 09+ rams with the dual exhaust have a resonator just before the tip on each pipe
