Question Cab light shuts off too quick

My cab light and cargo light shut off after 15 secs without the key in or turned to the on position. Is there a problem or if not a problem is there a way to make it stay on longer?

Also, my driver's side fog light lense and bulb were broken when I bought the truck. I replaced the bulb but after a day or two the bulb stopped working. Do I have a short or are those bulbs sensitive and break easily? The lense has a small 3/16" hole in it and a crack. The dealership wanted$ 150 just for the replacement lense and bracket since they said I can't buy just the lense. Any thoughts?

Check your owner's manual for setting the light delay in the cabin.

The foglight bulb socket is probably corroded, due to the lens being broken, so I suspect it's shorting out and not sending power to the bulb base.

Since these are sold as a component your option is to replace it with an OEM part. I suspect you can get it cheaper from any of the MOPAR parts sellers on eBay (several stores there, I use airparkcjd) or check LMCtruck.com

I'm not sure with your '06, but there may be a menu in the EVIC to change lights off delay.

You can get replacement fog lights on ebay or look in your local classifieds as guys are often swapping out their originals for H.I.D.s

Thanks for the info Maddog, but I did check my manual first, there was nothing in it about setting the delay. I feel Dodge doesn't give enough info in their manuals. I've run into this with my wife's 2010 Journey, and my 01 Durango. I love Dodge and won't buy a different brand of car, but their manuals are lacking.

I had bulbs blowing every week in my fogs, turns out there was a crack, and just a little water on thoes hot halogens make them blow, the last one exploded, i bought new fog lights, which came with the bulbs on ebay for 70 bucks
