2004 1500, I have that massive crack on the passenger side and my first little piece fell in the other day. Has anybody ever taken these things off and used epoxy to hold them together on the bottom side? I tryed to take the dash apart the other day to do this, but living in military barracks doesn't give you a lot of room to pull your truck apart. I almost had it, but ran into an issue. My defrost vents are screwed into my dash and the screw heads are facing the firewall. Do I have to take the vents off with my dash?

Default Cracked Dash

2003 Ram, one day the dash is fine and the next it just started self destructing and a two inch chunk fell out down into the glove box. I called the local dealer who told me to call Dodge. I called Dodge and filed my complaint. I got the same run around as the OP. I told the twit on the phone that Im never buying another Dodge/Chrysler product. I called NHTSA and made a complaint. If you check around on the internet you will find that this is the most reported problem in Dodge trucks from around 2001 to 2006. I have found a couple of facebook pages devoted specifically to this problem also. Apparently Ram Tough only lasts for 80,000 miles.

My '98 has no cracks, and It was parked outside in Arizona? Odd.

My last truck ('96 Dakota) holy god the whole thing was just a mess as far as the dash. it caved in eventually lol

My dash is cracked in several places on my 99. I'm not terribly concerned about it with THIS truck, however the annoying part is the noise it makes with all the broken plastic clanking around.

But I understand why people would be upset if they had a nice truck inside and out and their dash was cracked. Damn cheap plastics. I've got blemishes all over my truck, that's why the dash isn't that big a deal to me. I might throw some silicone or something on the cracks to keep them from making noise.. what ya think?

My dash was atrocious when I changed my heater core a couple weekends ago. I explored an option prior to this and just sat on it, but when it crumbled all to hell I had no choice.

Dash Skins makes dash panels that silicone on top of the current damaged dash. They are color matched and no one is the wiser. The price was right and my truck has a respectable looking dash again. The only drawback is that it takes forever for the silicone smell to wear off after gluing them down.
