"If" I had an Eco Boost,
I'd try spooling those TT's up just before staging to reduce/eliminate lag
...and hope the TCM doesnt pull timing and introduce torque managment.
and Launch it in AWD at about 3000 RPM.

Thanks. Next time I'm going to try and power launch some. I heard the rt isn't important Im pretty sure I can can get a little better 60' time with a power launch!

Good luck with that, it only works for Turbo's
you have to try for yourself to be sure though, maybe Ford is more forgiving,
the Rams have Brutal restrictive factory torque managment

I tried many times with my Ram and it just pulled timing, and introduced extra torque managment earlier.

Only way around it (for me) was to get an aftermarket higher stall (2800) torque converter from Edge.
Now I do no pre-load at all, flash the TC from idle and it hits 3k and launches perfect 1.9's everytime.

My 60' was high 2.3's stock, down to 1.912 now

Best $500 (other than my Diablo Trinity) I ever spent!
...cant wait til the cooler Fall temps arrive, I should get a new personal best soon.

I wouldn't waste my time on one...Rev it up to 4,000 rpms in neutral and then drop it in drive and smash it! Fug it...it's gonna break down anyway, then you can return it and get your money back, lol!

why are we comparing a NA engine to a Force FEd one. everything is diff. the turbo produces more torque, which gets it down the road quicker.

Because we have to! We have Dodge trucks, so we must compare to the competition regardless of what mods are considered OEM stock. I'm sure this is covered in the Automotive Owners Handbook for Competitive Gentlemen. LOL

Also in the same handbook is the section where we 'MUST' come up with any and all excuses as to why the results of our race were not the results that we 'know' should have been .....that's the way it is!

We are boys with toys (men with trucks if you prefer), and we all have the best, strongest, fastest and nicest looking truck, no matter how slow, gutless, unreliable or ugly it is...it's just the way we are...Fanatical!

Although....in my case....I lost because recently acquired information has proven the Eco was NOT equipped as stated....as in NOT the gears indicated and not 100% stock (the name Hennesey was dropped....)
That's my excuse.....and I'm sticking to it! (I 'know' what the results of the race should have been....I have a Hemi...so it's simple...I win! )

the hemi, although great in performance, will run second in the 1/4 mile all day long to the ecoboost. And i'm talking stock. 4x2 mono-e- mono.

I can't understand why you'd trade a 2010 Platnium F150 for what you have now instead of an EB. If your truck is so slow you should go back and trade it in for one. It doesn't sound like you know as much as you think you do when it comes to trucks, mono-e-mono.

look you dumb ass. I was not favoring the f150, which i had one. I was stating the real facts. i love my Ram Longhorn but i know things it can't do, and out running the turbo-V6 F150 is one of them. So the next time you call me out you better read the post six times. Simply stating stupid; i bought the better truck for me, not the fastest truck.
