From what I've found off of google I think WI laws somehow manage to suck more then PA's
This site says that you need a rear bumper and it can only 9" higher then stock, do you think the hitch is going to be enough of a rear bumper for what ever officials might give you trouble?

If you cut your bedsides the back of the bed will come apart. There is support structure in there that is spot welded together, as well as some triangular type strap bracing that runs upwards. That is precisely why I didn't cut my box when I built my bumper. Also becauise it wouldn't be worth the time. The whole bed is going away.

If you want to build a race truck, build a race truck. If you want to build something "inspired by", do that too. To each his own. But keep it functional if it's a daily driver. It already looks like you can't use your bed because your tailgate moves very little. If you had gone with a swing open design you would have been better off.

Here's my truck, perhaps you've seen it before:

hmmm i like your rear bumper, theres not much for stuctural supports in the back of the bed there, ive looked it over a few times already, and plan on re-useing the supports that are there, i wouldnt cut the corners off n just leave em at that

no my tiregate dont move to much, but i do still use the bed a lot, and which is part of the reason i wanna raise the trailer hitch rather then get rid of it, cuz i still use it frequently
