Pentastar spotted in a 2013 w/ a facelift not so excited about the facelift although I do like how the 1500 is starting to look more like the HD's, but I think I speak for use when I say thank god theres a pic of the pentastar in a 1500. Even if you still wont opt for a v6 despite its impressive power rating for a v6 you should be happy seeing that this WILL boost sales when it arrives. What says you guys?

adding the pentastar to the half-ton lineup is a smart move, and i like what you can make out from those pics of the mid-cycle refresh. it looks like the grill is less canted, and somewhat similar to the 2006-2008 grill.

Only way I would by a six cylinder is if they brought back the long stroke "lazy" six. The 225 six was one of the best motors ever built.

My bad, I was thinking of the numbers associated with 3.5 liter Ecoboost Ford V6 and the larger 4.8 liter Toyota engine.

if i had a 3200 pound vehicle & lived in the flat desert
i might consider a small V-8
the rams are much heavier at 5,000 pounds & in real life a V-6 is not realistic

IDK bout that I have the first 4.7 at 235/300 and although Im not saying any v6 could have the low rpm grunt of a v8 even a low powered one like mine. But I def see a v6 at 290/260 being adequate especially to save the money over the V8 option if you use your truck for light duty hauling. I used to work for a commercial refrigeration co. and a short bed 2x4 w/ the 3.7 in a 1500 was adequate even when loaded w/ all the tools and everything. I mean it was slow as hell but it worked

Nice. Not a big fan of the 06-08 styled grille though. So what happens to the 4.7 since it and the pentastar are so close?

Well Id assume theyd keep making tne 4.7 seeing that the current 4.7 is 300/330 or something like that until they come out w/ the rumored turboed up version of the 3.6 eco-boost style. Although if Im not mistaken I recall reading on allpar that the 4.7 is slotted to be phased out by 2013 or 14
