Default New CAI installed

With limited availability of CAI for my truck I went with K&N CAI and all I can say...

OMFG.... I love the ROAR at WOT and when I pass someone....

Now I gotta be careful in the neighborhood. High recommend that if you don't have a CAI, do it NOW!

Very cool! How do you like the superchips? Have you had any issues with your electric fan coming on too early...?

No I haven't had any issued with my SC (again I haven't played with the efan settings, until I get a thermostat and flexifan), I have noticed improvement with gas mileage got up to 18.05 MPG on the highway (hand calc) I'll going to have the exhaust done this weekend as well... Oh do get the transmission tune, it does improve the feel alot.

There is actually a bug with the fan settings even if you don't touch them, they are trying to fix it currently (they actually sent me an update I haven't tried it yet to see if it's fixed). I run either the 91 or 93 tune 99% of the time and on the highway I can get up to like 22 or 23 mpg at 65-70mph. Any faster and it'll go down to around 20 mpg. This is just with the tune and airaid jr kit. The trans tune, do you mean the thing you pay like $50 extra for?

Yea the extra tune forthe transmission you pay extra for

I heard about the efan problem, just haven't gotten that far on my system. I plan on it but I don't see the point in doing it till I get a few things... Like a lower temp thermostat and maybe a UD pully in addition to the efan.

would you mind going into more detail on what the advanced trans tuning is/does/comes with? Is it just more options? I haven't asked superchips, but couldn't find a specific answer online...?

it allows you to adjust each shift point in the transmission. Tune it to your style of driving the SC tune firms up the shifting (can feel it more) I haven't played with it alot yet as I was on a trip. But now that I am back and about to refill the monster tank (34 gallons) I'll play with it a bit, it has a safety feature built in so you can't screw up your shift points.
