Default New MagnaFlow CatBack Installed

So I finally (have owned the truck for 1.5 months, but waiting for delivery of the exhaust system felt like years) got my MagnaFlow CatBack Performance Exhaust system installed last Friday. Unfortunately, the shop ran out of time and wasn't able to install my Y-Pipe. Next week.

Couldn't get pics as it was raining of and on all weekend. Today is sunny and nice, so now I have pics. Before and after.

Before

After

It looks and sounds great. Now it has only been 3 days with minimal driving, but my EVIC shows about a 2.5 mpg improvement. And for some reason the last 3 days I have been driving a little more aggressive. Not sure why.

If you can, definitely go with a new MagnaFlow CatBack System. The exhaust tips alone are worth it. They just look mean.

Forgot to charge my video camera. So video will be posted tomorrow. But boy does it sound nice. Loud when I want it to be. And a nice soft growl during normal driving.

That difference in tip size makes a big improvement. I'm anxious to hear how it sounds.

Congrats!

It get's a little louder after about 3-4k miles and some of the internal glass-pack material burns off.

I like mine even Better a year later!
...my Tips still look like new too, despite being through a brutal Canadian Winter.

Thanks BlackRamHemi. It was your input that got me to go with the full CatBack system instead of just a muffler swap. The tips basically sealed it.

I've got to admit the tips were my prime motivator too,
I saw them on a dealers project truck and Had to have them.

Sometimes photo's don't do them justice, and the larger diameter isn't the only advantage. They are almost 3 times longer than stock too...
and being Double Walled Polished Stainless Steel is a huge advantage over a single walled chrome stock tip.

My old 04 QC4x4 Ram had a Mopar single walled clamp-on 4" tip that never lasted past its first Winter, swore I'd never bother with that crap again.

Basically spend all my money on it.
Actually, I want a unique Ram. I don't want to be driving down the road and pull up to one that looks identical to mine. And I don't mind when other Ram drivers are a little envious when they see mine.
Maybe thinking of going with a little red and black theme. I see several black Rams with some red accents on here. I was maybe thinking of doing the opposite. Redish Ram with black accents. Maybe plasti-dip my nerf bars and bed side rails. Color match my grill. Get rid of all the extra side and tailgate badges. Not sure about the bumpers though.
I other words. Not sure. Haven't decided other than I want it to be unique.
