I've had two 2010 F150s. Both were Crew Cabs, one was a FX-2 4.6 V8 and the other was a Lariat 5.4 V8. They were both nice but had a crappy ride. When I went to look at Dodge I was blown away by the ride quality. I have a 2011 Dodge Ram Crew Cab sport with the 5.7 in it and it kills in MPGs. I always have a avg of 19.5 or better.

i checked out the gmc's before i bought and didn't like the 4 wheel control on the floor or that the rear wheel wells were all exposed with gapes that could hold sand and salt.
I like the rams electronic 4 wheel switch and the rear wheel wells are a plastic tub

My ST has plastic rear wheel tubs. They weren't on the option list so I thought they were standard.

I was a Ford enthusiast prior to this fabulous Ram! Went to the dealership where I've purchased at least 15 vehicles over the years. We looked at the new F150's for 20 minutes and no one even approached us. Almost like, "if they are looking at F150's no need to sell them, cause we are the best" Well my Brother in law had just traded for a new Durango and was very pleased with the vehicle and the deal. Asked my wife if we should go in the Ford dealership to talk deal.....her response.. Screw em' lets go look at Dodges! Well think goodness for a smart woman. Saved at least $10000 and got a truck I'm totally satisfied with.

The Ram 1500 rides better and looks better.

The F150 tends to tow better (Chassis seems to be better sorted for it) and has a better drivetrain in my opinion.

F150

3.7L DOHC - 302 bhp - 278 lb-ft

5.0L DOHC - 360 bhp - 380 lb-ft

3.5L Ecoboost - 365 bhp - 420 lb-ft

6.2L OHC - 411 bhp - 434 lb-ft

When it comes to the trans the Ford has a better low gear with a 3.08 Axle than the Ram with a 4.10 and more even splits.

Ram 1500 - 3.00, 1.67, 1.50 (Kickdown Gear), 1.00, 0.67

Ford F150 - 4.17, 2.84, 1.52, 1.14, 0.86, 0.69

Nothing wrong with a Dodge and as long as I can buy a new Crew Cab 4x4 for $25,000 Ill keep buying them. I dont tow much weight on a routine basis and the Dodge works just fine for what I do and cost less money.

PS There are not any bad trucks these days. The market wont stand for it.
