Default Trade in my 2006?

Hey all,

So I've had my 06 for a couple of years now and I'm seriously considering trading it in for a 2011 model. Some good deals now going on and I'm really getting frustrated with my wobble/bounce. I've already invested thousands on new tires, shocks and steering components, but the truck still doesn't feel right. Question is, how's the ride in the 2011s? I haven't gone out for a test drive yet as I'm still on the fence, but thought I would get all your feedbacks first. I'm looking for a 1500, probably SLT, full crew cab 4x4, any things to look out for when buying an 2011?

Thanks!

Get the 3.92 and have a great time in the 2011. You won't be disappointed!

It's the smoothest riding truck I've ever had. I can't believe how it handles and rides. Just doesn't seem like a truck when you're driving.

Eh, I'm sure you'll get nothing but praise on here, but shooting straight with you, I think the ride is PLUSH and definitely the smoothest of any truck I've ever owned, hands down. HAVING SAID THAT, I've been plagued with constant alignment issues from day 1, and I've read other posts on here communicating similar stories. Between the alignment issues, and the stock goodyear wranglers wearing terribly (bad feathering) and forcing me to prematurely replace tires, and now this recent tie rod recall, it's been one thing after another.

Even with the truck perfectly lined up, I still have some issues. Most notable among all the front end stuff is the tendency for my truck to hit a bump and then want to steer in the opposite direction. I called it bump steer on one of the threads, and then 95 people yelled at me and told me it was the wrong terminology, but at the end of the day, it was the only way I could describe it. Tie rod recall didn't fix that behavior either.

when i bought my '08 GMC Sierra i was amazed at how it drove. "rides like a car, doesn't it?" is what the salesman asked and i couldn't argue with him. coming from that truck i was still blown away at how smoothly the 4G Rams drive. if you're unhappy with the way your '06 rides...DON'T test drive an '11 because you will end up driving away in one

I owned a 2006 Dodge Ram and I enjoyed that truck. I thought the ride was good in that truck, especially compared to the 02 Ram I had 4 years before, then I got an 09 Sport. I couldn't believe the difference and how much better the ride was. I now have a 2011 and it is better than the 02, 06, and 09. IMO the best riding truck you can buy. Keep in mind the tires you choose on any vehicle will greatly affect the ride. I noticed a big difference on my 09 when I got different new tires.
