Default Oil spray

Silly me,did my first oil change on my new sport hemi .Didnt notice the O ring stayed on engine from old filter screwed the new one on over it, got about a two second oil spray all over engine. It even sprayed the windshield. Make sure Oring comes off with old filter !!!! Silly me

My buddy did that once, sprayed about 5 quarts all over the driveway. What a mess.

Same thing happened to me last week. Quite the mess indeed! Had about 5 quarts spray all over the place...not fun.

It happens to almost everyone once. Did it on my bike (looked at the filter when I took it off, even wiped the mating surface on engine), always check for rubber seal now. Wisdom dictates such.
