I had some oxidation on mine when I bought the truck. I believe it comes from the aluminum wheels. I was afraid to use a chrome polish, so I just used a finishing polish (I love Pinnacle products) with a wool application ball and it worked like a charm.

I noticed last weekend my wheels were getting a bit rough to the touch. Now I was my truck at least once a week so Its not abuse I used 3m rubbing compound on every nook and cranny then buffed it them with a microfiber towel and they look great. I wax my wheels when I wax the rest of the truck. i find it helps with keeping the brake dust from sticking to them. Anyone with painted aluminum wheels will benefit from waxing the wheels big time. I used to be a detailer and we did that with all the demo's to keep em looking new. (I wouldn't compound a painted wheel unless absolutely necessary or you'll wear through the paint eventually)

no joke the best thing for your chrome is 50/50 white vinegar and bottled water.

I mix it in a small comtainer, dip a microfiber cloth in a wipe the chrome with it, use a dry microfiber to polish it out.

It's great for spots on glass too, will make your chrome look like a mirror.

I usually use a MF Poilish Pad with Meguiars NXT all Metall Polish.
I know it isnt Metall at all, but it works and make them shine like new and looks like a mirror.

Apply a bit on the microfibre polish pad, clean them well and after you finished all 4 wheels just start out from new with a mf towel to polish remaining residue away.

thats it.
