$300 for all of what? Just to remove the muffler? or also including the duals? I'm not sure, most people pay like $250-$400 I'd guess but without the muffler you'll save about $100, so it seems about right I guess...

Sounds reasonable...might be able to get it cheaper, I honestly don't know I do exhausts myself as I have a welder....I've never had one done. So they will do a y pipe from where the stock muffler was, then run the duals? You may want to swap your stock y pipe where the manifold down pipes come together too, they might throw it in fairly inexpensive since you are giving them work, and it helps performance a lot. magnaflow makes a good y pipe you could swap to, it's about $30 for the part.

yes, they will do the Y pipe from where the muffler use to be. and i will have to ask them about replacing that other Y pipe

For a single exhuast, it usually cpst about 300 or around there, dual exhaust is about 600 or in that range.
