Default truck really squats

are there any kind of helper springs or anything? truck really cant handle any weight in the bed or o the trailer without squatting. sure tows nice. handle the boats and camper nice. on my 285 mile trip today it got 13.7 at the pump. 15.4 on the computer. the camper loaded weighs about 3000. i had to switch my 2 inch drop upside down to a 2 inch rise to get the popup to ride level. almost hit 18k miles on my 2011 i got mid december.

Seems like alot of tongue weight for 3k, Master Hitch is who I use for all my towing accesories and they do have springs available so any local hitch shop should be able to get you fixed up.

Here ya go:

This is what they recommended to me.

I had a slight squatting problem when I towed my 5er. Solved it with a set of Timbren SES helpers. Now 5er and truck ride nice and level.

Paid around $190.00 for them and super easy to install. Maybe 30 minutes tops.

Found it to be an easy solution as we tow only 6-8 times during camping season.

I think you need to check how much weight you have on that rear axle before you look at buying helper springs. My truck was level with the 8000# trailer attached with WD hitch.

with leveling bars it should stay level no mater how much weight there is. i dont know much about this stuff but i do know my 2wd v6 w/t went down less when i put the camper on the back then my dodge. i know that we get a nice ride out of the suspension because its not super stiff like a ford but this truck shoud be able to handle a little more then that

i have a pop up that weighs about 3k and I load all the gear in the bed of the truck for 5 people and my dog. my truck squats some but not that much I have mine on a 1.5in drop and my trailer rides level.. you need to get the tongue weight of that trailer checked.

I just towed for the first time over the weekend, 16 ft enclosed trailer with about 2500 lbs in it and I didn't have any problems. Sit nice and level with a 2 in drop.
