P/N 5058693AA FILTER - $19.45
P/N 68052292AA DOOR - $11.70
tax - $ 2.57

They had to order the door (be there in the morning), can't wait to add this to my mod list... Thanks to Brad12kx for posting this, just glad I could help inform of the lower price...

On the passenger side behind the air filter, there is a wiring connector there. I forget which wire it is but its just pulling that wire out of the connector and taping it off.

Hahaha. Um, maybe a bit more clarity would be great before we all start pulling wires and taping them off. What wire specifically, why that wire, and what exactly do you mean "torque management' would be great to know if you have some time to let us know..

Just enough info on this to drive me crazy with the foggyness of the actual mod.

LOL sorry guys. To start its only for 02-05s, the design changed in 06.

It basically does what a transmission line booster does (Sonnax). When you put your foot in the go pedal it extends your 1-2 shift. On my truck the shift is a bit rough, but shouldnt hurt anything. In short (or the way I see it), it takes the cushy cush that the ladies like out of the transmission. Ive never raced but I could imagine when you are trying to show an S10 whos boss that extra second or so that is saved by your truck not making the "perfect" shift could save a lot of embarrassment.

It involves finding terminal 10 on the plug that goes into the TCM just behind the air box. A quick google search can get you guys more info then I can right now, I cant link to another forum which is where the info is all at. Sorry to be so vague.

My cheap mods so far:

$85- Front and rear Mopar molded splash guards. These were an easy install; took about 20 minutes.

$18- Mopar cabin air filter door and Purolator cabin filter. Another easy one; 30 minutes total thanks to the "Adding a Cabin Air Filter" thread here in the forum.

$95- AirLift 1000 #60818 air bag spring helpers. Took about 4 hours total. I took my time, and removing and replacing the wheel wells was a real pain in the a$$.

$15- Tekonsha trailer brake controller adapter cable (controller was $160). This one took a couple of hours, most of that time being trying to figure out where to mount the thing. If I did it again it would take 5 minutes tops; basically choose the location, mark and drill the holes, plug in the cable and tie up the wire.

$20- Heavy rubber floor mats from Walmart.

I think my next mod will be adding an oil catch can, to keep the oily vapor out of the throttle body and cylinders.

Bill
