Default Wiring coming into glovebox?

So i got this truck a few weeks ago, and found this forum and have been browsing around and I've been wondering what these wires are for so I decided to make a post and ask

Sorry about the not so good pics, from my iphone

That's got me stumped, mine has a connector in the upper glove box for the Ipod cable but it's just a plug and it is flush with the back of the glove box. That looks like either one of the factory plugs for the radio or someone has done some custom wiring leaving the plugs in the glove box. Did you buy the truck now or used ?

Just talking out of my ass, but you might be looking at a setup for High Def radio, or something that you can add on to your stock system. Most cars/trucks now are designed so you can't change out the radio system by dash design, or even because your radio controls more than just your radio. Check in your U-connect book.

Do you have the uconnect module in your truck? If so is it working? That cable is the input cable to the uconnect module and the 3 prong wire connector coming-out of it is for the microphone connection. The mic should be connected to this and mounted elsewhere like the a pillar or behind the rear view mirror. Perhaps the owner upgraded to an ren radio and took out the uconnect and microphone. The big connection is a radio connection daisy chaining through the uconnect.

Sorry for not replying, i just looked into that. when i hit the little phone button it says my truck is not equipped with uconnect phone so i suppose that means I don't have it.

But i also noticed when i dropped my key under the seat today that there is 2 more of those grey ones under the drivers seat that are unplugged. why would they be there?

That is the harness to plug into the uconnect Module. I would open up your radio and look behind to see what's going on. You may have the module sitting in there. What is your radio type?

Looks like the old owner swapped radios before trading in, should get the build the build sheet and see what radio originally came in, if it was the rer the connect module was built in, most others the module is seperate and located behind the glove box.
