Default Any suggestion

I just Bought a 2002 dodge ram 1500 slt sport 4.7 v8. its a gorgeous truck, sounds great but I want to beef up the exhaust system on it. What is the best exhaust system I can get for this truck to make it sound mean. Without spending an arm and a leg on it.

P.s. what are the major recurring issues that this type of truck has that I should be forewarned about?

Most guys seem to like the Magnaflow or Mufflex systems. Either just the muffler or a complete system. And look at getting a Y pipe. As far as problems, just keep good oil in it and change it regularly.

exhaust cut outs quite when closed beast when open would be the cheap route with out doing much work just a simple 10-20 dollar wield job at any muffler shop. i did it mainly because i did not want my truck loud all the time but mangaflow is not bad if you if do go with any exhaust most like to go with 3in pipe and i would say go with a 3in/out muffler with a high flow cat and Y pipe
2/4 drop,h.o. cams,4.56s posi, stage 2 cai, 70mm tb, 180t, cutouts, efan, centerforce dual friction clutch, short throw shifter 24%, sct(tuned by flying ryan), high flo-Y, 3 inch exaust , jbl headers, 2013 intake manifold, nitrous, killian ported heads, leds and hids on all lights,
