As in the last post, I think most all of the CB sites have been looked at. Have you checked with the local pro CB shops?
Sounds like it's time to look at a different mounting location, or do like I would do. Start flat bar stock, go to the vice with a hammer and drill and make your own. You may bee able to modify the standard mount for your 2500. I, personaly, would go to a better location or is there a reason you need it on the front fender?

IMHO owners are hesitant about doing a proper, for CB preformance, mount of an antenna then wonder why it only talks/hears a mile or two. Use a top brand, as tall as you can, as close to the center of the roof as you can get. and no, I don't think it will hurt your resale in a few years.

As I have said before, "It's my truck and I want it the way I want it!"

Because of clearance issue. It is not for CB, ham radio using Ham Stick antennas which are 7 feet in length. I would go to the bed rail, but I have a topper lid on the bed.

I have seen bed rail mounts that function with covers and caps. That's probably going to be your best bet

I doubt a magnetic mount would work well for a 7' antenna... have you looked at the options Firestik offers? Here's a page that lists quite a few: http://www.pepperelectronics.com/aca...na_Mounts.html

Stop back and update us on what you decide to do, I'm looking at adding a radio in the spring (reading the exam manual now) and some of the ham antenna configurations for mobile use look pretty daunting. I've been toying with the idea of adding a cargo rack to my cap, I just may pull the trigger on that and use it as an antenna location as well.

Good luck!

Sorry about the last post, I assumed a CB with a short f/glass stick.

When you mount that 7' on the bed rail, think about on the driver's side for better tree clearance.
