Default Wheel spacing/rubbing issue....help!

Ok so I just installed my 2.5" HBS lvl kit and my 305/55/20 Trail Grapplers tonight on my 20" Helo He835 wheels which I believe area +18mm offset...and I have VERY MINIMAL rub on the upper control arm...I think if I get a 1/4" spacer it should solve my problem.

Just wondering if anyone recommends using spacers or if there is another solution?

Also what is the proper way of installing a spacer and where to get them?

Thanks A lot!!!

If it's just minimal rubbing I would skip the spacer

Well it is minimal but its also rubbing all the time not like only when I turn. It rubs on the sidwall tread on the upper control arm...I just wanted to know if there was a certain way to install the spacers or if there is a better solution?

A spacer will just slide over the bolts of each rotor and fasten in place with lugs. Once the wheel is off it will literally take two minutes at the most for installation. I would recommend putting a few drops of anti seize on each bolt before sliding on the spacer just to make future removal easier.

I installed 1 3/4 inch spacers on mine and have had zero issues. Stock ride height and stock 20's.

Check my thread out: http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=91108

I wouldn't suggest the spacers that you slide on, from what I heard those types are BAD. Click on my thread above and in there is another link to where I got my hub centric spacers. Now, if you do not plan on cutting your stock bolts then you will have to go with a minimun of 1 3/4 inch spacers...otherwise you have to cut. The spacers I have bolt right on (use red locktight!!!) then once they are on you put the wheel onto the spacer which has new bolts to lock down the wheels.

I would start by clicking the link in my thread and calling them. The dude that makes these knows alot about what to do and what not to do when it comes to spacers and is more then helpful. He may have a better working solution to your problem.

Good luck.

Ended up putting on some 1/4" spacers tonight and they solved my rubbing issue. Very easy install. Thanks for the help Guys!
