Default Ram TPMS

While I don't need new tires at this time, I am concerned that my tire pressure monitoring system will work correctly whenever I do need to replace them. It is my understanding that the tire valves (Schrader??) are an integral component to Ram TPMS. If this is the case, does that require a Ram dealer to mount new tires? Never having owned a vehicle with TPMS until now, I am wondering if the average tire dealer will have both replacement OEM valves and trained installation procedures in place? Also, I would guess that even demounting a tire for nail hole repair could require specific processing.
How have some of you handled this issue?

Thanks again for the advice, it does seem only logical now with so many newer vehicles now with tipms standard.
