Default Will it fit ?

I just found a rear bumper and picked it up for $40 from a guy who has a wrecked 2500.... Now here is a question I have about the drivetrain as we might be able to work out a deal on.

Will the Trans and Transfer swap out on the 1500 with the 2500 ?
Mine has been rebuilt several years ago and has been acting funny a few times now and then shifting ( but possible since the weather has gotten cooler ) I am trying to land them as they are good as well as the motor if possible so I have something to build and play with over the winter as i will be having spinal surgery again soon. I know if I get the motor I need to snag the brain as well ( as I heard they are tuned for motor specifics ? )
Thanks on any info in advance.

I agree ^^^^ although you are probably gonna need a PCM and some new mounts, bellhousing, bolts, etc...

wouldnt think he'd need a pcm if he's just swappin the trans and transfercase. new trans mount wouldnt be a bad idea, wouldnt need any bolts, can re-use them, and as long as both trucks are automatics, he'd be fine, if he was goin from a auto to 5 speed, he would need the bellhousing, pedals, linkage, brackets, ect. if they are both 5 speeds, he wouldnt even need the bellhousing

If you can, grab the 2500s computer parts
you may not need them, but on vehicles that age they are handy to have & they are very expensive to get one reconditioned
