Default Illuminated approach?

Hey all. I have the upgraded trailer tow mirrors on my 2010 quad cab. On the under side of the mirror there looks to be a couple of small LED lights that should light up the side of the truck during the illuminated approach sequence when unlocked with the key fob. But they don't.

Does anyone else have these? Do yours light up?

Thanks in advance!

I have those same mirrors on my Laramie and they light up when I unlock the truck with the fob at night. I just tried it during the daylight and they didn't come on. They must be setup to only come on when it is dark.

I have the standard mirrors

Mine just blink twice when i unlock the doors with my FOBIK
Same when i use the FOBIK to start it

I think that you can go into the Personal Settings in the EVIC steering wheel controls & change that, i personally have not tried it

Ok. Glad to hear they 'should' come on. Looks like a trip to the dealer is in order. Thanks!

I did try different settings but that just seems to control how long the headlights come on for.

Just for the heck of it, i checked mine again yesterday

FOBIK remote unlock & start during DAYTIME, lights flash twice & go out
FOBIK remote unlock & start during DARKNESS, lights stay on, i didn't test for how long

It may have something to do with the delay that you set in your personal settings, for when you pull into your drive way at night & want the lights to stay lit while you are walking to your door

Interesting. I'll check the delay settings fot the delay and see if that helps. I think I already changed that setting when I was messing with it first a couple of months ago but I'll try again. Thanks!

Mine wasn't working either. Dealer said there was a letter about it. They did something to make them work. Good Luck Doug
