Agree, gears. I pulled 10,000 lbs with equalizer bars behind my 03 Hemi when I moved from Little Rock to Maryland. I was really glad I had swapped out the stock 3.55s for 4.10s.

i am towing a apx. 8,000 # 5th wheel, i put on an extra leaf spring and it tows good now but a little extra power going up hills would be nice
what would a chip do for me ie: gas mileage, power, etc.
right now if i keep it around 1800rpm on the freeway i can get 9 mpg

Be careful, you don't want a "chip", you want a tuner/programmer. I'd go with a diablo sport predator or superchips flashpaq, and I'd choose the superchips for towing. You do have to run 91 octane I think to use the tow tune, but it will give you more torque, probably about 15 lb ft(you can check their site). It will also help your transmission shift points, among many other things. For a few hundred bucks it's worth while. When not towing you can use a different tune and get better mpg and power too...

i might be not updated but as far as i remember there is no more Tow-Mode anymore on the DS Trinity/Predator.

I asked before a few months the guy of DS and he said just use the 93 oct tune and it's ok.

Also at my car i saw the 93oct works even better for fuel saving than the mpg-tune

That seems odd to me, I wouldn't think you'd want to tow(put a large load on the engine) with a lot of timing advance(like with the 93 tune). Superchips says to not tow with the 93 tune or it could cause damage. I know superchips has a tow tune and they actually retard timing...
