Don't know man, it is somewhat of a rare rear truck suspension, maybe there simply isn't enough clearance to go that low and have a reasonably comfortable ride and ability to haul/tow...?

I really don't know. I honestly don't like them dropped that low but that's just my opinion. I like leveling the rear, or maybe like a 2/4 at most, but like I said everyone has an opinion...

Would you not be happy with a 2" rear drop to level it? You can get a set of RT springs cheap off someone and cut them, or buy the 2" rear drop kit from otto-max pretty inexpensive as well. Just some more ideas...

No. It does have different springs though(not sure of the purpose/benefits). I guess it handles a little better? The RT spring and my quad cab spring are damn near the same length. Also, my friends RT sits higher slightly than my quad cab(different wheels/tires but mine are stock size and his are stock size).

Point is the RT has different springs but is not lower...

I think the problem you get into with going lower than 2/4 with these trucks is the axle to frame clearance in the rear and the issues with the axle shifting to one side or the other when lowering because of the track bar(5 link).

You would probably be fine in the front with the spindles and lowering springs but you would be bottoming out like crazy in the rear at 6" unless you did some kind of notch.

i may just rock the 2/4 and throw some 22's on. just debating which would fit and look better 22's or 24's

I think if you go with a 2/4 drop , 24' is the way to go.

Also cutting the stock springs or heating the stock springs will cause a bouncy ride.
I think it would be better to cut a lower suspension kit than oem..
Again , not saying it's safe, but thats what i would do.

* Also , if you can wait 1 more week , i will find out next week at Sema with the different suspension company's what the hell is going on with some better drop suspension kits =)

I have 24's on mine and they rub now so I can't do the 2/4 kit like I wanted. so how do you cut the r/t springs safely? And how can you tell how much to cut?
