Default Vibration or wobble in 4x4 high

Well today i got my new to me 20 inch wheels on as well as some 275/65R20 duratrac wheels.

While testing things out i notice the wobble/vibration when in 4x4 high on acceleration now .... it was faint when i put the ready-lift 2.5 leveling kit on, so i decided to live with it. Now that the truck is undergone another change it is much more prevalent.

So with this said, I started poking around at Ready-lifts site and they say i have two options ..... 1./ remove .... 2./ add Kore high angle CV joints which are 800.00 .... well if i have to .. i have to .. as i just spent 1600 bucks on the bigger tires. So until i can afford the high angle CV from KORE i doubt i would need to use my 4x4 mode until winter comes .. will i be OK to drive .. i don't feel any vibration unless i am in 4x4 mode.

Also ... If worse comes to worse and i have to remove the readylift will 275/65R20 wheels fit without rubbing ?

thanks all.

Dan

I have a ready lift 2.5 inch leveling kit and 275/65/20 Hankook Dynapros. So far, I've felt only a slight difference in ride, but I think it's from the larger, more aggressive tires. Also, don't increase the the tire psi too much. It will give a much stiffer ride. I have mine at 40 psi and it rides nicely. Regarding the larger tires, I've been told they will fit and I've been told a little trimming may be needed, if the kit is removed. I think they will fit. Someone on the forum told me theirs fit. Personally, I'm doing nothing unless I have to. Right now everything is ok. I'm not going to worry about it until I have to. I think too many people look for problems.

Yea i am pretty sure it isnt the tires, there is a slight stiffness to it .. i expected that. I am more or less talking only about the while in 4x4 mode on accelleration from stop the wobble i feel that fades away once i let off the accerator.

Thanks for the reply though. I have also been told that if need be the tires will fit without the readylift with no modifications.

u have a bad axle, if you slightly felt it before the lift then take the lift off and make the dealer warranty the bad axle, then you can lift it and ride smooth. Modifying an already broke truck just makes things worse, the good thing is warranty will make it right for free.

Pretty sure your axles are fine. I've been researching the Kore high angle cv joints also. 99% sure that is your fix.
