Default GE nighthawk platinum bulb or other

Hi i would like to know if anyone had problem with these and also if you seen a improvement in night vision driving

if not what kind you have and does it help with night driving

i want to put them on my truck, they advertise up to 90% more night vision

but the employee at canadian tire told me that some guy had problem with his wiring melting,.. he did remember what kind of car or years old,...

seems like bulls...t because the bulbs have the same watts as original equipment

Same here, like the ultras over stock by alot, but thinking of installing 2 Hella 500 kits behind the grill and putting ultra bulbs in them.

thats what i thought, i will bring my truck to the paint shop for a nice and shinny deap blue re-color, then ill install my new lights,... and voila every will be working,...

thanks for the advice, ill do some research by myself about these lights if nothing all go with the silvania ones,

what a good saleman that canadiantire kid,... lol i bet his boss must be proud...

its just that i do lots of night driving and i would like a little more lighting power without putting more fogs... i'm not looking for the blue,.. just xtra white...

A replacement halogen bulb will not melt wiring so don't worry about that.

I tried some Sylvania SilverStar bulbs. Vision improved somewhat but not great.

So, I added HID's to the truck and the light is great. I am gonna add a set of projectors to them this winter.

is projector light much more powerfull than a good lights bulb set? is it long to install

im not to sure i would like to do that much im just looking for a little bit more lighting power at night unless its the same price

how much are they for everything high, low and fogs

the one im looking at are 60$ plus tax each set, total 3 set so for everything high low and fogs 180$ plus tax about 205$

The projector light focuses the HID light down to a nice, clean, light pattern. HID's in stock capsules tend to scatter light all over the place. It really ticks off folks in front of you and approaching vehicles.

No, adding HID's and projectors to your truck is a lot more expensive than just replacing the stock bulbs for an aftermarket set.

HID's for your low beams and fogs = approx. $100 - $300 depending on the kit.

Projector retrofit without a HID kit is about $200 to $300 depending on options you select (painting the inside of the capsule, etc...). This price contemplates someone does the retrofit for you.

Don't put HID's in your
