As one of the fewer female Ram owners, I realize that my views on mods may be incompatible for those of you who need higher performance, but here goes anyway.
I consider my 2011 Ram with a 3.7 to be my perfect luxury vehicle and I love it just the way it came from the factory. It has an auto trans, satellite radio, power windows and doors, quad cab, fiberglass camper top and is a pure pleasure to drive. I feel like queen of the road, sitting up high and comfy, and if I need more power, I just floor it and it gets up and goes just fine without any expensive or complicated modifications. My favorite expresssion is always "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

Can't say I don't agree with that ^^^^ as I love my truck "as is" and feel it offers plenty of get up and go for anything I need or anywhere I want to go. Of course now that I know there is a programmer available, I might look into it but in all reality, I bought my truck to drive and to use rather than work on every weekend lol but who knows, I may just end up going back to some performance mods and see.

Yea I think the first part of your statement sums it up, women don't usually care about having more power or modding their vehicles. Guys on the other hand, once we get started it's hard to stop.

Yes I certainly understand the excitement of making that 3.7 perform even better, and have wondered if I should have waited for the 2012 V-6 pentastar option.
But though being female and enjoy my luxury Ram ride, don't underestimate my own fascination with power,...I also own a high performance Harley which I flog until it absolutely screams for mercy, and also an ancient 'vette which I treat a little kinder due to it's age.

I probably would have waited for the pentastar, but as long as you're satisfied that's all that matters. For the performance thing, it definitely helps when you have something else to satisfy the need for power, then it doesn't have to be your truck. That happened for me when I got my dirt bike, I kinda laid off modding the truck and focused on the bike.

I now have added a Cat Back exhuast to mine and a K N CIA and all I can say is wow. This Little engine has a boat of power with the right mods. Im putting on new headers next week that will make it that much more. Called my Local dealer and asked if any of this will affect my warranty and the answer is nope. There is no Chip out at this time but a chip will void a warranty, unless you no how to clean your trucks CPU memory completly stay away from them, by just pulling it and setting the truck back to factory setting wont erase the record that something broke when the chip was in.

2011 Dodge Ram 1500 v6 3.7L, Smitty built back nerf bars, Choas 5 wheels, CAT back Exhuast with magnaflow muffler, K N Cold air intake, Jensen all in one Deck, Nav,DVD,USB,Backup Cam, AV x 2, Hands Free Blu tooth, Truck Color Rugged Brown. More mods To Come.... If anyone wants to see a pic of any of it let more know and I will post pics..
Jet performance has chips, stage one, and stage two for the 3.7. I put stage one on my truck gave me 24hp on the dyno. And about 3 more mpg. They cost around 228 for either one. The stage two tho requires to change the thermostat to a 180 degree one and run 93 octane. Hope that helps for alittle info.

Hypertech just came out with a programmer for the newer V-6 Rams.
