Default Bed Liner Overspray

I was cleaning my rim the other night and noticed these black colored specs all over my rim. Mt assumption because they will not come off easy is that it is overspray from the spray on bed liner. Without having to let the dealer do it is there anything I can use to clean this stuff off without damaging the rim?

I'd call a local shop that does bedliner to see what they use!

I had it on all four plastic chrome wheels. Took a long time using nail polish remover and a rag.

I wonder if you can just replace the plastic chrome part.

The first thing I did was have the dealership body shop try and remove the over-spray. The kid that tried cleaning my rims didn't do much other than scratch all four rims. He should have cleaned any residual dirt and grime that was on the rims prior to using his solvent. It wasn't the solvent that did the damage - it was his scrubbing the existing dirt that caused the scratching.
I didn't even have to complain much to the Service Manager... he replaced the rims and tires for me (no argument!!!!)

I originally tried using my clay-bar along with some wax. It was coming off, but I felt it wasn't my fault the rims had over-spray. And I wanted the dealership to be the ones to remove the over-spray. Have you tried talking to the dealership where you bought your truck from?

As for the dealership that I bought from, I can't say enough good things about them! They have treated me with the up-most respect.

Is it overspray from the liner or are you just picking up road debris (like tar) from the road?

I've seen them spray those liners in and they use HUGE canopy like tarps that hang from the ceiling and prevent overspray from going anywhere.

Maybe try bug and tar remover (or crazy enough Rain-Ex) to try and remove it before going to the dealership. Just a thought...
