Thanks everybody for letting me vent and for the birthday well wishers. I appreciate it.

It's official, I will be returning to work much earlier than I want, and I am officiall 'cut off' by Mel while I'm home so she can show her displeasure with this current arrangement. *sigh* not much I can do about that I guess. I know I am lucky to have a job that I am passionate about, but I already work 84hrs a week and my last 2 'week off' have both been 4 days. That means in the last 7 weeks I've had 8 days off total, and 2 of them are part travel days, I'm just tired and cranky. I look forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning, so I'll be getting up at 7am!!!!

One bonus is I'm able to afford the Eagle heads and all the work I'm gonna have Inertia Motorsports do to them Why do I have to be addicted to modding?

And Michael, you always know how to brighten someone's day

Can't have a sunny day without a few rainy days :P

My mom is kinda in the same boat as y'all. She works as a insurance adjuster for an independent company that works catastrophes. If there is a natural disaster somewhere in the US that causes property damage she has to be there. For the past 9 months she has been working 14 hour days 7 days a week with a 1 hour commute. It's good to have her home at night though even though she goes straight to bed. Even though I live with her I have gone three weeks without seeing her due to our different schedules. And unfortunately now she is out of work until another catastrophe hits. Were praying for a blizzard or something soon. I mean she gets paid $50 a day when she isn't working but that doesn't do much. Especially since my dad was laid off after Hurricane Katrina and we had to rebuild and got our self into debt. He recently started a new job, but he gets paid commission and frankly he just isn't good at it. He worked in factories and plants his whole life doing heat treating on metal and now he works a desk job and travels to schools to try to sell the teachers retirement and things. I'm hoping next year once I'm out on my own that will save them enough money to start rebuilding our camp in Bay St. Louis that was destroyed by hurricane katrina.

Also happy birthday man, keep that head up. Things will eventually work themselves out.

That's one awesome OT bonus if you'll have enough $ left after paying for the 'suck-up' dues! How can get a job there.

Just be prepared to work stupid hours and never have a life and it's all yours. Hell, spend $300 and you have enough tickets to make what I do. Hell, spend $50 and get an appreticeship (sp?) and you'll be making more than I do.

I feel your pain brother. I have slept in my own bed at my own house only about 30 times over the past 3-1/2 years (that's pipeline work for ya). Granted I am not working a camp job (I lease a house in whatever city I'm in), but it does still suck (missing weddings, funerals, graduations, birthdays, fishing trips, etc). The way I see it, gotta work while you can, you never know what the future brings.

And for a bonus, we get mod money!

My previous job required me to work a lot of hours and be away from home but I did like the work. I left that job for the one I have now....I now work 36 hrs per week (weekends) home every night, more benefits, but I truly hate my job!

The grass always looks greener until you jump the fence!
