Default Squealling Brakes

I have a 2006 3500 4x4. I have completely done the front brakes twice now. First time with ceramic pads and then back to autozone gold lifetime pads. I have changed the rotors, calipers and pads and they still have a squeal at times. Any suggestions before this drives me to the looney bin??? Thanks Greg

Did you change the pads and rotors at the same time at any point in your efforts to get rid of the noise and were the pads and rotors spotless when you assembled them?

I have had great success at brake squeal . Heres what I do .

The best thing I can tell ya is to clean everything that the brake pads touch (calipers , face of pistons , caliper/pad holders , slides etc...) real good . It is time consuming . I use a real course sandpaper when necessary to remove the debris and rusty surfaces . Then I use silver antiseize on everything I just cleaned including the back sides of the brake pads . Not the friction material side . I reassemble being careful not to get anything on the friction material side of the pads . I have great success with this procedure . I just did a Toyota Camry several weeks ago with excellent success . Thought he needed brakes when he dropped it off . He was shocked when I called and asked him why . Some mechanics would of taken that ball and ran with it . I did my thing and he is tickled to death with what I have done . Customer for life . Good luck and let me know how you make out . Talk to ya soon . Tom

I am not a real mechanic, i have not got the throwing wrenches at the wall thing down yet

On the brake pads, there is a small piece of metal that is bent into a L shape, its purpose is to make squealing noises when your brake pads are close to being worn out. Some times that piece of metal gets bent too far, even new out of the box, look for it & see if it may be your noise
