that's the check valve in the valve body right?..all you're doing is dropping pan, disconnect connect/harness from the top...unscrewing pan filter, unscrew valve body and remove...should only be replacing a check valve and some springs and little rings on the pistons...

the one i was about was a one way check valve in the transmission cooling lines. im not sure if there is even true or not i was told that he burn his transmission up becouce it wanst removed. aslo this was on a desiel truck

o ok...diesels have a different tranny 68rfe and their shift kit is a little different

The full "re-program" kit comes with a bigger spring for the bypass flap in the pump. In order to install that, you have to drop the trans. When you replace that spring, you can hold higher line pressure.

I'll have to check to see if my kit was a full reprogram kit...I've done quite a few so i don't even read the directions anymore..just look at the pictures...

the kit i got u have to pull the tc out and geta puller for the pump. the dirictions make the hole kit look esay. im just waiting to get my deeper pan and another trans cooler.
