Default 2011 2500 laramie 4x4 wont move

I remote started my truck and it shut off after a few minutes. I went out and restarted my truck and the check engine light was on with no messages. I let the truck warm up and tried to leave but the auto tranny would not do anything in any gear. It has only 2700 miles and has been at the dealer for two days, any help because they cant figure it out either?

wbowyer will become famous soon enough

There are two possible problems with the tranny:
1) Electrical: Check your fuses and see if there are any that were blown. Also smell for buring/melting rubber and look for any wires that may have been overloaded and melted or have been cut.
2) Mechanical: Check your fluid and make sure it is a clear purple and "tacky" to the touch. If it has a lot of debris (not normal for your milage) then you either have had a mechanical failure or something in the valve body has been plugged up causing it not to lock up the TC.

Will it move in reverse? Have you tried putting it in neutral and shifting out of neutral? Have you noticed any excess (particularly white) smoke?
Also, try letting it idle with the tranny in Neutral, on the older dodge autos the tranny fluid would not circulate unless in gear or neutral..causing it not to warm up.

Just a few ideas from my past experiences!

And to add to that, they should be able to figure it out or get on with contacting engineering (which is what they have probably done) for some help. In any event, don't expect a quick turn around on this. I suspect it's transmission control electronics that are at the root of the problem.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!
