Default Intake Misfire...WTF

If I didn't shave my head I'd pull my hair out, and if my truck had a face I'd'a already punched it in it.

I've got a 95 Ram 1500...Manual everything...Backfiring through the intake. It wants to bounce my head between the windshield and back window.

Changed cap rotor wires etc... When it's cool it runs better. Pulled the temp switch apart checking the connection...replaced it. Hollow exhaust. been that way for a year. The other day it started popping, burping, farting and hiccuping in the intake. replaced the IAC because it's had an erratic idle for awhile and now that seems better. If I can get it to run and give it a little fuel with the air cleaner off it starts to break up. If I spray seafoam in the throttle body it'll run fantastic. Am I bypassing the injectors by doing that, and if so does that indicate a bad injector...or two?

The life you save may be my trucks.

Don't get me wrong...this truck has never let me down and has always gotten me to and from where I have to go. But don't think for a second that I'm going to push it where ever I have to go. I got laid off a month ago and don't have the cash for trial and error. If I did, it would be in a shop somewhere this time with someone else's hand under her skirt. I just need some input on where to stick my finger to make her happy.

Just trying to get an idea here is anyone thinks I'm right or on the right track. If you happen to be reading this...a simple thumbs up or down would help at this point.

Default Intake Misfire

I would like to take this time to extend my heart felt gratitude and appreciation to all the members who graciously took the time out of their busy day to assist me in solving my problem.

Thanks to all of you for your contentious effort and assistance. Your input and direction. Especially those of you that extended your wisdom and knowledge of the functioning of the 5.2 internal combustion engine and the complexities of the fuel delivery system. Including the probabilities and consequences of the possible malfunction in relation to the fuel injector delivery integrate.

The information provided relevant to the correlation in the supposition of a misfiring injector, and the consequences thereof, aided me in making a determination upon my own accord.

Yeah, it was a bad injector if anyone in the future has this problem.

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not seeing as there are no other posts between yours. Either way, I'm glad you got it sorted out, and if I knew anything about the magnum engines I would have spoken.

Neither, I just wanted to be a valued member of the community and thought it appropriate to post the solution to my particular problem.

I thought it may be helpful to any potential future problems that a member may encounter.

It's been my experience that when a member has a problem with their vehicle. It's helpful to advise the community of how they solved it in an effort to help other members.

No...yer not...There was maybe just a hint more than a little sarcasm. I apologize...can I have ice cream now? <--not sarcasm.

Maybe I did lay it on a little thick. It was just one of those days and I'm sure you know how the blood + sweat = urine equation works when you get mad at your truck for talking back. (btw the b + s = u is an original, cannot be used under copyright infringement...lol)

...I've been told more than once that I have a "unique" sense of humor.

Sarcasm is highly underrated. The second one was pretty smooooth.
