Default What do you think of using LUCAS oil?

I had a 1997 ram 1500 4x4 with 205,000 miles on it and used 1 quart of lucas oil with every oil change. I now have a 2006 ram 1500 4x4 with 95,000 miles and was wondering what you guys think of using a quart of lucas oil next time I change my oil.

You will never find that stuff in my Ram. Probably works great for quieting things down, but seems too gummy and thick. You may be better off swapping to a full synthetic oil.

Lucas oil is pretty darn good when compared to
Wynns Friction Proof
STP Oil Treatment
Engine Honey
Motor Honey
everyone of them thicken the oil, make the battery work harder when starting the engine in chilly climates & just possibly cut down the smoke that is coming out of your tail pipe, it muffles a knocking rod because it is so thick

forget almost everything about oil products that were made in the 1950s to the late 1980s, it was a different product formula
Your 2006 HEMI engine has MDS & i would almost bet that the MDS will stop functioning if you thicken your oil with that type of product
