Default dodge ram not getting enough power

Having issues with my truck trying to get going and moving, when I step on the gas pedal, it takes forever to move, and I would say top speed is about 35-40 MPH.

It's a 94 dodge ram 5.9 liter

I checked all the tubes and such for a vacuum leak and I came to find that my EGR valve solenoid was burnt to hell(excuse my language), the plastic was melted and I'm not sure how exactly that happened, but could this be the culprit of why its hard to get the truck moving?

My fuel pump has also gone bad I think (the gauge on the HUD doesn't work, but there is no sign of rough idling or even the truck dying out.)

Any thoughts??

Definitely replace that EGR first and see how it goes. I would also suspect a bad fuel pump or filter. Not that familiar with the '94 5.9L so is it carbed or a throttle body arrangement? If it's a TB, that may also be the culprit. Check your throttle linkage and make sure nothing is impeding the pedal from going all the way to the floor.
