Default plus size tires

Does anyone know what is the largest tire size that you can put on a 08' slt 5.7l 4x4 with the 20 inch wheels without getting a lift.

I have 305/50/20's on my 03, but some one told me once that the 06-08 have less room up front for tires.

There seems to be some gray area on this topic. 305/50/20 should fit any model year 4x4 without problems because even though it is wider it is also a full inch shorter than the stock tire. The best answer I can give you is probably 305/55/20. Many people seem to go with this size. The reason I say gray area is because most folks have said they can run these with no rubbing but a few have reported needing either 1/4" spacers or a front end level kit to cure a slight rub.

How's the handling with the 305/50's? I've been tinkering with the idea of going there.

Where are you guys buying your tires?

Mine are good for now, but I always like looking around prior to really being in the need......

Sams Club 120H Goodyear Eagle GT-II 305/50R20 - $175.00
Discount Tires Cooper Discoverer H/T 305/50R20 - $145.80 (approx 37 per tire for shipping)

Deal at Sam's might be better....

Any other good deals out there? Not sure what the shipping would be at the
