I'm buying Pacesetter longtubes on Friday. I was planning on putting the 90 degree elbow on the cats. Just wondering if I'm going to need anything else for the install.

i have a 2010 and i ditched my cats pretty quick but i spent forever trying shit to get my CEL off, heres the scoop: the home made cel eliminators that u can make for under 10$ by using capacitors and resistors and such-they dont work, i built 2 off of what some guy did on a toyota forum-my ram monitors shit way way to close and they just didnt cut it. so- the spark plug fouler things, i used those on my 07 tiburon(before i traded it for my ram) they didnt work, the angle cel eliminators do work (buy them on ebay). IF you go the route i went and dont weld in o2 bungs(temproarily) and just let your sensors hang...bad move, lol, i was goona weld some in but never got to it, i fried my o2 heater's. so anyway- I have a tuner, its the DS trinity, and diablo says they aren't allowed to turn ur o2 sensors off in the tunes anymore, but you can go to your local tuner that does DS's and possibly have it done. i had mine shut off, and it only turns off the sensor, NOT the heater, SO, dont pull a "me" and let them hang till u get around to welding in bungs, lol. i couldnt find any bungs to weld in so thats my excuse for letting them hang. in the end, ive been running my DS and the tunes with the o2 turned off and my truck is loud and awesome! and like others are saying removing your cats wont damage anything, just be careful about inspections and emissions. good luck.

Cats suck up more gas and decrease power. I removed them off mine and ran full length headers with true-duals. I've got an '03 HEMI and I'm pushing around 500hp and 530 ft lbs of torque.

Do us 3rd Gen guys need O2 sensor extensions? I haven't had a chance to look under to see where the stock location is.

Diesel exhaust is totally diff. Those engines run better with ditch culverts strapped to the turbo. The only issue is dealing with the enormous sound

Used non foulers w/ steel wool and not pulled any o2 codes for over 60k.
Use to have them turned off via custom tune but i wanted to keep the sensors monitor ready.

^ like kay9 said it's nice to have the sensors there, not disabled. I've done the non fouler trick to a few vehicles and some are more sensitive than others, some didn't work, some worked for over 100k miles, and this site is the first I've heard of the steel wool trick, but it seems to help from what I've read.

I just installed dynatech lt's and high flows, only the left front wire was long enough to connect. I had to cut and extend the right front, and still have to do the rears. I will try and get them done today since the weather will be warmer and dry, it will get nasty here real soon, and I don't want to have to do it in the snow.
