Default Ran PB NA and Spray today...

Hey Guys,

On a whim I decided to run at the track today (sacramento raceway)..and of all days I had put gas in the day before so I had waay more gas than I usually run with..but anyways, weather turned out perfect..cold and the track was prepped well too for the dozen of us that showed up (guess everyone was still shopping) ...anyways, I'm thrilled to say I'm in the 12's finally on motor..

12.96 @ 104

and i was even more thrilled that I decided to run what was left in the bottle on the very last run of the day...

12.10 @ 113

Did your 60ft time pick up significantly or was it all on the big end? Reason I'm asking is I have always wondered about the 1/4 tank of fuel versus full tank deal. Sure, a quarter tank is lighter, but a full tank puts more weight over the rear tires so it should hook better (even more so with cars, were the tank is behind the axle). I guess if you hook already, then it's not needed, but I know street racers back in the day would put a bare set of heads or a manhole cover in the trunk as ballast to get more traction at the expense of the extra weight. Tailgate off versus tailgate down would also apply (noticed yours is off) since having it down would be the same aerodynamically (if not better, acting as a flat spoiler like a pro stock) plus move the weight farther back, effectively placing more load on the rear tires.

We are likely talking hundreths of a second, but 4 hundreths is what broke you into the 12s on motor . BTW, nice runs!!
