ya trust me i dont want to replace stuff if i dont have to either...so they are allowed an 1/8th of an inch of play? if so that's where mine are right now.

If you look at your "c" where your knuckle joins the axle you'll notice that the are not level with the ground. This is so you have preset camber/caster on your axle.
If the ball joints didn't have some movement to them, your steering would bind, or pull itself apart. So there is a certain amount of movement bult in.
However, when there needs to be measurement of freeplay that determines wear, and that is .125".
If you can detect that...dial meter is best, your joints are worn out internally and need replacement. They'll simply get sloppier as time passes.

alright then, ill run them for a little longer and if it gets worse ill change, or actually ill take it up to the garage up the road and just have him do a precheck for a sticker that would work
