Fixed now and is stronger than factory. They put extra spacers at every bolt (front and back).

At least they fixed it. Can you post after pics for comparison?

I have installed hundreds of fifth wheel and goose neck hitches. I have seen worse but I can tell you that the spacers should have been put under the ribbed section of the bed between the rails and bed with the bolt running though it. The second bolt that is going through the high part is fine (no spacer needed inside the bed but may require one underneath. Also I see the bolts are going through the "hat" section of the bed underneath without any spacers. There should have been round long spacer that go inside of the hat section and then the bolts will drop through them, this way as you tighten the bolts you won't crush the bed or hat section. Bottom line is that you can't have threads showing between the rails and nut underneath, the space needs to be shimmed up and torqued down. On some of the trucks you need to cut the sheet metal flange under the bed near the inside fender to allow the spacers to fit. I have found that the Dodges really need to be measured 100% dead on or you will be boring the holes out.

I have seen a few guys cut corners and do some real half assed and dangerous installs just to save some time. In the end it's never worth it! I have been told several times to not use spacers, shims, etc as they were too difficult to get in there but I did anyways & if the boss got upset I would ask him if he wanted his truck rigged up like this? If you need to charge another hour for labor it's better than screwing it up.

Good to hear they fixed it for you. If they didn't they would have been fools as that's a huge liability going down the road.

They just tried to sell me a hitch and install it! I decided to do it myself as most the time I pay to have stuff done its not right and I'm not happy. So I took a day to install a 12 pullrite superglide and did it in 4 hrs. I know its done right!
