Default Leveling kit for 2011 ram 1500

I've been looking at a bunch of leveling / 3'' lift kits for my 2011 ram 1500. I was wondering if anyone has done a leveling kit in their truck and what they think about it.

Couldn't really help you to much, except ive been researching a lot about the billsteins 5100 leveling kits for my 05, im sure they make them for the 11's also. you should try the lifting/leveling portion of the forums for this kinda question, your hidden in the north east! haha.

yea i did see bilsteins leveling kits. there are also alot of other kit that run blsteins. i just was wonder if anyone knows of a good leveling kit. im on the border of portchest NY and Greenwich CT

I would shy away from 3" unless your truck is 2wd. Most people here will recomend the bilstien adjustable shocks. They do sell a regular 5100 series shock along with the 5100 adjustable so make sure your ordering the right one if you go that route
There are also a good bit of people who are using spacers. If you go that route I would recomend the Hell Bent Steel spacers
Jimmy your not going to be able to use bilstien adjustables on your 05. 4x4s used torsion keys and 2wds used a spring/shock combo that year

really? the site says they fit the 05 4x4 slt/rumble bee's and what not. hmmm... more research is needed i suppose. damn!

Bilstiens website can be a pain to use sometimes. I just looked and for 05 they only have the regular bilstien 5100 for 4x4 and 2wd
If your truck is 4wd you can achieve the same thing a leveling kit(torsion keys) does by just cranking up the torsion adjuster. It does the same thing as torsion keys, torsion keys just allow you more room for adjustment. I wouldnt go much above 2" though
I think I would skip that top gun kit and go with bilstien adjustables on an 11 over a spacer with 5100 non adjustable. Kill two birds with one stone (well strut actually lol) not to mention their customer service sucks

Nope but I would recommend just turning up the torsion bar adjusters. Torsion keys increase the tension as much as cranking does the only advantage to keys are they allow you more room for adjustment
